Our First letter from a stranger….

Today is the fourth day of our People Helping People – Pass it Forward, and we received a heartwarming letter that we thought we would share:

“Last evening I saw a segment on the news about the services you are offering to people who are out of work.  I don’t normally do things like this but, after seeing that, I felt the need to say something about what you are doing.  Every day I read the newspaper and watch the news and it seems to get harder and harder to do.  There are so many terrible things going on in this world.  When I saw the segmentabout your salon and what you are all doing there, it actually brought tears to my eyes.  I think it is great that you are helping people out.  Thankfully my family has not been affected too badly from the economy that we have had to reach out for help but, I’ve seen some who have been deeply affected.  I hope in return for your kindness, all the people who got and will get some help from you “pay it forward”.  There is nothing we need more right now in this world than to have more people in it with hearts like yours.  You should feel proud of youurselves and I hope your hearts are filled with joy from what you are doing.  I just can’t say enough.  Shine on.”

This very kind person also included:

“Something that has always puzzled me all my life is why, when I am in special need of help, the good deed is usually done by somebody on whom I have no claim”-William Feather

We do no know who the kind person was who wrote this beautiful letter to us as it was unsigned and no return address found on the envelope…. To that person,  thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Your words make it all worth it, and yes-we would love everyone who is touched by your words to do the same…. “pass it forward”.
